January 2, 2017

  • A vehicle owned by Charity Coleman of Adel was parked in the 200 block of S. Ninth Street when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. Damage was estimated at $1,500.
  • Janet Flanery of Adel reported a burglary in the 1000 block of Court Street. Items were valued at $10.

January 3, 2017

  • Katherine Peterson of Adel reported criminal mischief in the 200 block of S. Ninth Street. Damage was estimated at $200.
  • Joelle Gustafson of Adel reported criminal mischief in the 200 block of S. Ninth Street. Damage was estimated at $400.
  • A vehicle owned by Rebel Dayton of Grand Junction was left in reverse in the 900 block of Court Street, where it struck a parked vehicle owned by Matthew Guns of West Des Moines. Damage was estimated at $3,000.
  • Laura Larkin of Adel reported a theft in the 100 block of S. Fifth Street. Items were valued at $1,639.

January 4, 2017

  • A vehicle driven by Hannah Lynne Rice-Livingston of Adel was stopped at the intersection of 14th and Greene streets when a vehicle driven by Dorrian Goods of Des Moines struck Rice-Livingston’s vehicle from the rear. Damage was estimated at $3,200.
  • The Adel Public Library reported a theft of books in the 300 block of S. 10th Street. Items were valued at $570.14.
  • Peggy Sieleman of Adel reported identity theft in the 400 block of S. Fifth Street. No value was reported.
  • David Cochran of Adel reported a theft in the 1000 block of Grove Street. Items were valued at $199.

January 5, 2017

  • A vehicle driven by Vickie Moorhead of Adel was backing out of a driveway in the 1600 block of Pleasant Street when it struck a parked vehicle owned by Steven Hews of Adel. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

January 6, 2017

  • Perry Pendroy of Monroe, Iowa, reported criminal mischief in the 25000 block of Eagle View Drive. Damage was estimated at $600.

January 7, 2017

  • Cade Long of Adel reported a burglary in the River Vista Trailer Park. Items were valued at $50.
  • A burglary was reported at the ADM Soccer Shed in Island Park. Items were valued at $50.
  • Gregory Ickowitz, 47, 5414 S.W. 17th St., Des Moines, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.
