An Adel woman was arrested Friday after allegedly assaulting an Adel man in the home.
Rebekah Paige Behrend, 27, of 29456 Old Portland Road, Adel, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident occurred about 9 p.m. Friday at a residence in the 29000 block of Old Portland Road, where officers of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with Behrend, who told the officers that “she had possibly scratched” the victim “on the neck,” according to court records.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Behrend allegedly “hit him on the back,” according to court records.
The officers observed on the victim “injuries to his back and neck area,” according to court records.
Behrend was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 25 in Dallas County District Court.
