An Adel woman was arrested Monday for allegedly tampering with a witness in her trial for assault, child endangerment and drug possession.

Amanda Luck, 37, of 1728 Figg Dr., Adel, was arrested on a warrant for tampering with a witness or juror.

According to court records, on July 8 Luck “did either make a threat against or commit a
public offense against” a person who she “believed was or may be a witness” in a case dating from St. Patrick’s Day in which Luck allegedly slapped a neighbor.

Luck’s alleged actions were taken “with either the intent to prevent” the victim “from testifying or in retaliation for anything lawfully done by” the victim, according to court records.

A warrant for Luck’s arrest was ordered July 15 in Dallas County District Court and served July 15. Luck is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for arraignment July 26 in Dallas County District Court.
