Amanda Leigh Luck, 36, of Adel was arrested Friday on charges of assault with intent to cause pain, disorderly conduct-fighting and trespassing.

An Adel woman was arrested Friday on a Dallas County warrant in connection with an incident in March in which she allegedly slapped her neighbor on St. Patrick’s Day.

Amanda Leigh Luck, 36, of 1728 Figg Dr., Adel, was charged with assault with intent to cause pain, disorderly conduct-fighting, first-offense possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment and trespassing.

The incident began March 17 about 1:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of Figg Drive, where officers of the Adel Police Department responded to a report of “a female who was seenĀ  crawling up her driveway while crying,” according to court records.

Her 2-year-old child child was beside her wearing only a diaper in 36-degree weather, according to court records.

Evidence from witnesses and security camera footage led investigators to conclude that Luck went “onto another property” and “struck the victim in the right cheek with her hand, causing a red mark,” according to court records.

Further investigation disclosed about one ounce of psilocybin mushrooms in Luck’s possession, according to court records.

Luck was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 24 in Dallas County District Court.

  1. She had a bruise on her face from the husband. He kind of sounds like a douche bag to me. Men are so emotional.
