
ADEL — Perry fell to 0-2 in Raccoon River Conference volleyball after suffering a 3-0 loss to ADM Tuesday. The win moved the Tigers to 9-3 overall and 1-0 in RRC play; Perry fell to 1-13 overall with the loss.
The Tigers were 25-10 winners in game one before posting a 25-16 victory in the second game. A 25-22 win in the third set cemented the match victory.
Jo Diw had seven kills for Perry, with Adrian Thompson, Sid Vancil and Maddie West making two kills each while Isabel Saemisch had one. Thompson and Gabby West had one block apiece, with Vancil distributing 11 assists and Diw one, with Syd Guerra tallying 15 digs and Diw 13. Maddie West had seven digs, Vancil four, Thompson two and Saemisch one.
Guerra and an ace on 7-of-7 serving, with Thompson 6-of-9 with two aces. Maddie West was 10-of-12 behind the line, with Vancil 7-of-9, Gabby West 6-of-6 and Diw 3-of-5.
Sami Schepers had 10 kills and nine digs for ADM, with Amy Gottschalk tallying seven kills and four blocks and Sydney Bertman 16 assists and two blocks. Jordan Hook was 26-28-7 serving, Gottschalk 13-15-5 and Delaney Bertman 11-of-11 to lead the hosts.
The Jayettes will return to action Thursday when they host the Perry Invitational. Carlisle, CMB, CR-B, DC-G, Earlham and Panorama will all participate, with the first games beginning at 4:30 p.m.
