An Altoona man was arrested Friday night after allegedly injuring his Prairie City son during a fight in Woodward.
Justin Michael Isaacson, 37, of 724 Eighth St. S.E. Altoona, was charged with child endangerment-serious injury.
The incident began about 9:45 p.m. Friday at a residence on W. Fifth Street in Woodward, where officers of the Woodward Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The police investigation determined that during the course of a “physical fight with his 15-year-old son,” Isaacson allegedly “put the victim against the wall and choked him with his forearm and hands, causing him the inability to breathe,” according to court records.
The officers observed on the victim “red marks to his back and neck as well as a scratch to his neck,” according to court records.
Isaacson is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 18 in Dallas County District Court.
Isaacson was convicted of first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness in 2017 in Polk County District Court. He was convicted of first-offense OWI and child endangerment in 2024 in Polk County District Court.
