An Ankeny man was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting a man in his Waukee home and breaking his T.V..

Konah Fayiah Kamara, 30, of 205 N.E. 44th St., Ankeny, was charged with first-degree harassment, second-degree criminal mischief and providing false information to a law enforcement officer.

The incident began about 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of N.W. Lexington Drive in Waukee, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

Investigation revealed that Kamara, a visitor at the residence, “had an altercation with a male inside the male’s residence,” according to court records.

In the course of the dispute, Kamara allegedly “became agitated and grabbed a kitchen knife” and said to the victim, “I will stab you,” according to court records.

Kamara also allegedly broke the victim’s T.V., clock and wristwatch, according to court records.

Kamara was arrested and transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he identified himself to the booking officers with a false name.

Kamara is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 18 in Dallas County District Court.

Kamara was arrested Feb. 23 on U.S. Interstate 80 on charges of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. He is scheduled for trial May 20 in Polk County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
