ADEL —Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Dallas County will host an Ag Coffee Monday, Dec. 19 from 9:30-11 a.m. at their offices at 28059 Fairground Rd. in Adel.
Mark Johnson, an ISU Extension field agronomist, will give a brief overview of ways to identify Palmer Amaranth, an invasive weed found in five counties surrounding Dallas County.
Area farmers will also be able to ask Johnson questions arising from this year’s crop season or share observations from their farms.
“After harvest, it’s nice to catch up with farmers to see what stories they have from the field,” said Johnson.
Free coffee, juice and donuts will be provided. The event is free, but RSVPs would be appreciated to Caitlyn Lamm at 515-993-4281 or clamm@iastate.edu.
