
Local artists and craftspersons set up shop in Dallas Center’s Mound Park Saturday for the annual Art in the Park festival.
Several hundred people strolled the grounds during the free event featuring Iowa artists working in acrylic paintings, photography, contemporary works, stained glass hangings, crystal jewelry, yard art and other media.
Urbandale-based Stuart Walker entertained the crowd with Irish pub sing-along songs, and a variety of food and wine vendors were on hand to satisfy local tastes. Sales were brisk during the four-hour event, according to several artist-traders.
