
A Bondurant man who allegedly robbed a Waukee bank in June and a Carlisle bank in September had a hearing Dallas County District Court Friday before being returned to the Warren County Jail in Indianola.
Kevin Jeffrey Seay, 27, of 401 10th St. S.E., Bondurant, faces charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree robbery, two counts of fraud and fourth-degree theft.
According to court records, Seay allegedly robbed a bank in Waukee June 28 and another bank in Carlisle Sept. 6.
A warrant for Seay’s arrest was ordered Sept. 9 in Warren County District Court. He was arrested Sept. 7 in Lakeville, Minnesota, and extradited to Iowa, where he was arraigned Sept. 30 in Warren County District Court.
Seay was transported Thursday to the Dallas County Jail, where additional arrest warrants were served. According to court records, fingerprint evidence allegedly tied him to the Waukee robbery.
Seay was convicted of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in March 2024 in Dallas County District Court. One of Thursday’s warrants was for violating the conditions of probation stemming from that conviction.
