The Boone Police Department will hold a press conference Monday afternoon in order to release information about an officer-involved shooting Sunday.
According to the department, officers responded to a 911 report of a domestic disturbance at 620 Second St. in Boone about 4 p.m. Sunday.
The officers encountered a man at the residence, and he was subsequently fatally shot in circumstances that remain under investigation with the assistance of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
