A Boone woman was arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting an Adel man in Adel.
Jennifer Lynn Pratt, 46, of 1139 Aldrich Ave., Boone, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident began about 8 p.m. Friday, when officers of the Adel Police Department received a report of an assault in the 900 block of Greene Street in Adel.
The victim told the officers that Pratt allegedly struck the victim “with a piece of wood on the lower left side of his body on the ribs, causing bruising mark” and “struck his hand/phone with the piece of wood,” according to court records.
A search of Pratt disclosed “two glass pipes known to be used to smoke methamphetamine” and “a small plastic baggie that contained a crystalline substance,” according to court records.
Pratt is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 9 in Dallas County District Court.
