Brickwork on the exterior of the Citizens State Bank building at 1126 Second St. was damaged Wednesday afternoon when a vehicle jumped the curb and struck the Warford Street side of the 115-year-old downtown landmark.

There were no injuries in the incident, which occurred shortly after 2 p.m.

Operator error was the presumed cause of the accident, which is under investigation by the Perry Police Department.

The historic Citizens State Bank building houses the offices of Haaland Financial Services, and the Dillenbeck building, next door at 1124 Second St., is home to Backwards Boutique, which plans a soft opening during the upcoming Art on the Prairie event Nov. 10-11.
