
OGDEN — A 13-8 run through the fourth quarter was enough to lift Ogden past Woodward-Granger in WCAC girls cage action Tuesday.
The teams were tied at the half at 20-all, with Ogden (6-10, 6-6) able to open a slim lead, 31-28, after three quarters of play. The hosts had a 39-34 edge with a minute to play and scored five of the final seven points to secure the win.
Ashton Boggess had 16 points, Abby Langel 11 and Meredith Adreon five for the Bulldogs. Gabby Ross and Allea Klauenberg added four points apiece, with Faith Mohr and Denali Loecker scoring two points each.
W-G (3-15, 0-12) was lead by 10 points from Natalie Helbling, with Kaitlyn Peters providing seven points. Kayley Dresback had five points, and Mae Anderson, Alyssa Bice and Katelyn Scharlau four points apiece while two points from Lisa Pitman capped the Hawk scoring.
W-G hosts Madrid Friday, visits Panorama Tuesday and entertains Earlham Feb. 2 in their next three outings.
