The Urbandale-based Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory has bought out the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry, the funeral home announced Thursday.
The Carris business will be rebranded as the Perry Chapel of the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory and will serve as the central location for Caldwell Parrish’s expanded presence in Perry.
“For those who have pre-need arrangements at Carris, we want to assure you that your existing arrangements will be honored without any changes,” said Mark Parrish, owner of Caldwell Parrish business. “The transition to Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory-Perry Chapel will not impact the pre-arranged services you have made. Our team is committed to providing the same level of care and attention that you have come to expect.”
Parrish said Caldwell Parrish has had a longstanding working relationship with Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care, providing assistance during peak times and when funeral home staff were out of town.
He said the acquisition “solidifies the bond” between the company and the Perry community, “reinforcing the commitment to upholding the values of respect, compassion and professionalism.”
“We extend heartfelt thanks to Marcus and Mary Carris for their dedication to the Perry community and for entrusting us to carry on their legacy,” Parrish said. “Our history spans 90+ years, providing trusted funeral services across central Iowa in Urbandale, Adel, Winterset and now Perry.”
