The Perry Public Library’s annual children’s winter storytime sessions begin Jan. 9, 10 and 11.
New wintertime units will be offered for three age groups, the library said.
The Penguins and Polar Bears unit begins Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m. for toddlers ages 2 to 3, and the unit begins Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 4 to 5. Sessions will incorporate stories, songs and activities featuring these cold weather animals.
The Toddler Time group will meet every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. for the duration of the winter storytime sessions, and the 4- and 5-year-olds and families will meet every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
All storytime sessions are held in the library’s large meeting room.
A third unit, the Wee Wonders, will begin Jan. 11 at 10:15 a.m. Wee Wonders is geared to infants through 18 months and their caregivers. Sign language, songs and rhymes and simple activities are planned for this age group, and a free board book will be given each week.
Storytimes at the library are free, but registration is required.
