That’s all, folks!
Voting began Saturday in the fourth annual Festival of Trees at the Carnegie Library Museum, which began its five-week run with 39 entrants vying for the title of loveliest of trees (or wreaths).
The slideshow gallery above gives readers some idea of the trees’ and wreaths’ beauties, but it is no substitute for personal perusal.
Visitors can view and vote this week on the themed holidays trees and wreaths Sunday, Nov. 19 from 1-3 p.m. and again Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and after the Lighted Christmas Parade sponsored by ITC this Friday, Nov. 24 from 6-8 p.m.
See the schedule above for additional hours in November and December.
Admission to the Carnegie Library Museum Festival of Trees is free, and visitors can vote with their free-will donations for their favorite tree or display. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Carnegie, which receives no programming funding from the city of Perry and stages its events on a shoestring budget.
This year’s list of local tree decorators included 39 businesses, civic and religious groups and individuals.
Hurray! Facebook’s ThePerryNews is working now!
