Chris Lyn Jensen, 67, of Perry passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, peacefully in his sleep at home.
His family will host a Celebration of Life for Chris at the Elks Lodge in Perry on July 9 from noon to 3:30 p.m.
Chris Lyn Jensen was born April 6, 1956, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Melford and Eva Jensen.
Chris was united in marriage to Marlyce Beaman on June 30, 1993.
Chris and Marlyce raised two grandsons, Cody and Brandon Ecker.
Chris worked at the Woodward Resource Center, where he was held in high regards for his sharp dressing. He was known for being a hard worker and was known to work a lot of overtime. One year he was known for making more money than the governor.
Chris retired on March 27, 2015.
Chris enjoyed going to the secondhand stores, doing woodworking and tinkering around his garage.
Chris is survived by his wife, Marlyce Jensen of Perry; step-daughter, Laura Nelson of Des Moines; grandsons, Cody (Sara) Ecker, and their two daughters, Ava and Sami, and Brandon (Kayla) Ecker, and their son, Aaron.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Melford Jensen; his brothers, Doug and Paul Jensen; and his sister, Janet.
