The United Methodist Women and the Outreach Committee of the First United Methodist Church in Perry hosted a Christmas boutique in the church’s Fireside Room Saturday.
Visitors found tables laden with jewelry, Christmas decorations and gifts, cookies, bars, candy and other Christmas goodies.
Bargains on rarities were found by Perry Finance Office Susie Moorhead and her daughter Mollie, for instance, who found some vintage mid-century Christmas tree ornaments.
“All ours got ruined in the flood,” the 18-year Perry employee said, “and these are perfect, just like I remember as a kid.”
The tables of cookies, candy, bars, brittle and caramel corn also saw a brisk trade. A plateful of homemade divinity fetched a very fair price.
