The Perry City Hall announced Monday that Willis Avenue will be closed in both directions beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22nd between Second and Third streets.
The street will be closed for about two hours in order to install a silver sculpture honoring longtime Perry patron and owner of the Progressive Foundry Dallas “Pete” VanKirk.
In addition, some roads on the east side of Violet Hill Cemetery will be closed for the cleanup and removal of a tree and debris following the fall of the tree.
The cemetery roads are scheduled to reopen after the cleanup Tuesday, Aug. 22.
