With snow forecast in Perry Tuesday night and Wednesday, the Perry Public Works Department issued a reminder Tuesday morning to residents and businesses about how they can help the department remove snow as safely and efficiently as possible.
- Please do not park on the street. The Perry Public Works Department can perform snow removal operations more safely and quickly with no cars on the roads. Snow is predicted overnight and during the day Wednesday, and so snow removal operations will be ongoing. Final cleanup will take place in the early hours of Thursday.
- If you are out and see equipment performing snow removal operations, please stay back and give the operator as much room as possible. It can be very difficult to see while performing snow-removal operations.
- The Perry Police Department will be enforcing the snow ordinance. To avoid a knock on your door or a ticket, please do not park on the streets.
“The residents of Perry have always been gracious in helping us perform our tasks safely and efficiently,” the Perry Public Works Department said. “We appreciate everyone’s help and wanted to say thank you!”
