The city of Perry hosted an open house Thursday evening at La Poste in order to give the public a chance to review some design concepts for Perry-themed signage.
Bolton and Menk senior landscape architect Casey Byers and Bolton and Menk landscape architect trainee Natalie Jensen were on hand to walk visitors through the series of posters and explain the interconnected signs, which ranged from railroad-themed signs for the bike trail and brick-and-iron-themed signs for the downtown and industrial zones.
They also proposed erecting an electronic message board outside the MCB similar to boards seen near the Perry Welcome Depot and the Dallas County Hospital.
Perry City Council member Barb Wolling and Perry City Administrator Sven Peterson also greeted visitors and inspected the signage.
