Clarice Bergman, 93, of Madrid passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28 at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry, with Titus Lehman, Kyle Bredesky and Shari Connelly officiating. Burial will be Monday, April 30 in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Little Rock, Iowa, at 1:30 p.m.

Clarice Janelle Bergman was born Aug. 6, 1924, to Cornelius and Ida (Kruger) De Boer near Little Rock.
Clarice attended country school near Little Rock.
On Sept. 30, 1943, Clarice was united in marriage to Cecil M. Bergman. They were married 64 years.
The couple spent the majority of their lives farming in the Little Rock area and in 1990 moved to an acreage near George, Iowa.
Following the death of her spouse in 2008, Clarice moved to Perry. In 2014 she moved to the Cedars Assisted Living in Madrid.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Lyle) Patten of Bouton, Ruby (Ken) Johnson of Kansas City, Mo., and Jan Bergman of Polk City; son, J. R. Bergman of Swisher, Iowa; six grandchildren, Angela (Bob) Christner and children, Dane and Eva of Boone, Lyla (Noah) Joseph and children, Lily and Chloe of Bloomington, Ind., Sharon Fleming and children, Isabella and Colton of Kansas City, Brian (Sarah) Johnson and children, Chrisarah, Cyris, Madison and Lilyana of Independence, Mo., Lisa (Jamie) Kuzman of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Justin Bergman of Iowa City.
Clarice was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Eileen Venenga, Eunice Meyer and Helen De Boer.
The strength of her life was her faith in God and His Word.
