A Clinton man was arrested Tuesday on a Dallas County warrant in connection with an incident in which he allegedly harassed a Clive woman for eight years via email.
Alex Richard Gonzales, 35, of 2585 Bristol Ave., Clinton, was charged with first-degree harassment.
According to court records, the victim received more than 29,000 emails from Gonzales between August 2016 and July 2024.
In one of the emails, Gonzales allegedly wrote, “Really I’m gonna shoot ya then cut both ur heads off and send em to ur family,” according to court records.
A warrant for Gonzales’ ‘ arrest was ordered Aug. 5 in Dallas County District Court and served Tuesday. Gonzales is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary Hearing Sept. 27 in Dallas County District Court.
Gonzales was convicted of assault in 2009 in Johnson County District Court. He was convicted of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in 2017 in Black Hawk County District Court. He was convicted of assault in 2017 in Black Hawk County District Court. He was convicted of assault on persons in certain occupations in 2018 in Black Hawk County District Court. He was convicted of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness in 2024 in Johnson County District Court.
