A Clive man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted an Earlham woman, stole her phone and posted nude images of her on social media.

Gemini Naisere-Mekhi Lee Smith, 20, of 8330 Harbach Blvd., Clive, was charged with second-degree robbery, fifth-degree criminal mischief, fifth-degree theft and assault while participating in a felony.

The incident began about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 35100 block of L Avenue in Earlham, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of an assault.

The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that Smith, who allegedly has “assaulted” her “many times in the past,” came to the residence and allegedly “sprayed her in the face with pepper spray several times,” according to court records.

The victim told the deputies that Smith allegedly “then punched her in the face, causing her to have a bloody nose,” and he “then picked her up by her feet and shook her” and “flipped her over,” according to court records.

The deputies observed on the victim “redness to her face and eyes, consistent with bring sprayed. Her eyes were watering, and her skin was obviously irritated,” including “scrapes and bruising her to her knees and arms,” according to court records.

The victim told the deputies that Smith also allegedly “stole the victim’s phone” and “took a spiked metal object and attempted to break out her car window, causing damage,” according to court records.

The investigation determined that Smith acquired the victim’s “Snapchat account  information and locked her out of it” and then proceeded to post “nude photos of the victim” on the account as well as a photo of Smith and the victim “having sexual intercourse,” according to court records. He also sent the pornographic images “to the victim’s mother,” according to court records.

Smith is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for preliminary hearing Nov. in Dallas County District Court.
