Freshness and variety prevailed at the iJAG Awareness Day and Cookie Walk at PHS Commons.

Holiday shoppers with a sweet tooth have until noon Saturday to stock up on treats at the fifth annual Perry High School Cookie Walk and iJAG Awareness Day in the PHS Commons.

Holiday cookie lovers can choose from more than two dozen kinds of cookies and candies offered at $10 a pound.

All proceeds from Saturday’s PHS Cookie Walk help support service projects and class activities for students taking iJAG classes at PHS.

The process begins when PHS student Leo Baptista presents shoppers with a glove to wear while picking out cookies and a box to put them in.

At the end of the process, sweets are weighed and wrapped in a ribbon and bow by PHS students, from left, Yaneli Rios, Diana Garcia-Canales and Iris Garcia-Canales, with a thank you card from iJAG.

The finished product looks too good to eat — almost.
