Trisha Marie Slauson, 46, of Dallas Center was arrested Thursday on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

A Dallas Center woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly slapped the face of the father of her children.

Trisha Marie Slauson, 46, of 601 Percival Ave., Dallas Center, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident began about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Percival Avenue, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

Investigation led deputies to conclude that Slauson assaulted the victim “by slapping him across the face,” which “caused his glasses to fall off his face and also created
redness in the area he was slapped,” according to court records.

Slauson was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 3 in Dallas County District Court.
