A Dallas Center woman was arrested Saturday night after she allegedly assaulted her husband.

Emily Michelle Rodriguez, 36, of 1602 Maple St., Dallas Center, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.

The incident began about 10 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Maple Street, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a disturbance.

Rodriguez told the deputies that she became “upset” with the victim, and she “admitted to pushing the victim,” according to court records.

The deputies observed on the victim “fresh injuries to his neck, face and chest,” and the “injuries on his neck contained fresh blood,” according to court records.

Rodriguez and the victim were not “cooperative” with the investigators, and the victim made “inconsistent statements” and repeatedly told the deputies “to arrest him and nothing happened,” according to court records.

Rodriguez is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a hearing June 16 in Dallas County District Court.
