The Dallas County Democrats hosted a meet and greet Wednesday athe party’s Waukee campaign offices with Democratic candidate for governor Fred Hubbell.
A large and enthusiastic crowd of about 125 gathered for Hubbell’s speech, which was interrupted by applause many times when he spoke about Iowa’s need to adequately fund education, reform our tax structure, clean up our water, return Medicaid management to the state and let each community set its own minimum wage.
Also attending the Democrat gathering were Iowa State Treasurer Mike Fitzgerald, Kenan Judge and Greg Gustafson, candidates for the Iowa House of Representatives, Julie Stewart, candidate for Dallas County Treasurer, and Pat Stalter, candidate for Dallas County Supervisor.
The Dallas County Democrats will hold their monthly social at Patrick’s restaurant in Adel Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. and their monthly central committee meeting at the Adel library Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
