- Xavier Martinez of Adel was driving on U.S. Highway 169 near 315th Court when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.
- Paul Baker of Bennett, Iowa, was attempting to exit the fuel portion of the Kwik Star in De Soto when he cut the turn too short with an oversized load and caught the front of a semi-tractor trailer that was stationary. No injuries were reported. The semi-tractor trailer, owned by Hussein Alihaji of St. Paul, Minnesota, sustained about $2,500 damage. Baker’s vehicle sustained no damage.
- Mekhi Todd-Caston, 22, of 1333 Shamrock Dr., Waterloo, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of first-degree theft.
