April 14, 2025
- Michael Lomax of Des Moines was traveling on 240th Street near County Road R22 when his vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Salvador Garcia Rivera of Perry. No injuries were reported. Damage to Lomax’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Rivera’s vehicle was estimated at $20,000. Rivera was issued a citation for no valid license and failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
- Laura Uthe of Adel traveling on Fairgrounds Road when her vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Alexander Buck of Des Moines. No injuries were reported. Damage to Buck’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Uthe’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500.
- Jose Sanchez, 34, of 68 Thayer St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
- Eudardo Rodriguez Gaytan, 49, of 309 Court Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of domestic abuse assault.
April 15, 2025
- Arthur Clark, 46, of 410 E. Fourth St., Atlantic, was arrested for OWI and issued a citation for speeding.
- John Mortimer of Dallas Center was traveling in the 25000 block of R Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole and a tree. Mortimer was transported by Dallas County EMS. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $30,000. Damage to the utility pole was estimated at $2,000, and damage to the tree was estimated at $500.
