Dec. 7, 2023

  • Wyitt Belgarde of Perry was traveling on Willis Avenue near I Court when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Alexander Arbuckle of Perry. The force of the collision Arbuckle’s vehicle to enter a ditch and then strike a legally parked vehicle, registered to Scott Hughes of Perry. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hughes’ vehicle was estimated at $2,500. Damage to Belgarde’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Arbuckle’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Arbuckle was issued a citation for unsafe passing.

Dec. 8, 2023

  • Trevor Heinen, 24, of 404 Brady St., Minden, was arrested for eluding issued citations for reckless driving and speeding.
  • Allen Thomas, 45, of 100 Waterbury St., Newton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
  • Jacob Golbuff of Polk City was traveling northbound on R Avenue near Acorn Ridge when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven, by Christina Mundus of Winterset. No injuries were reported. Damage to Golbuff’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Mundus’ vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

Dec. 9, 2023

  • William Fanter, 50, of 1025 13th St., West Des Moines, was arrested for OWI and issued a citation for speeding.
  • Christopher Baker, 39, of 1603 Main St., Adel, was arrested for driving while suspended and operating without interlock and issued a citation for failure to provide proof of financial liability.
  • Rudolph Zagar, 39, of 14641 Hull Ave., Perry, was traveling on 170th Avenue near I Avenue when his vehicle entered the ditch. He left the accident on foot but was located a short time later and arrested for OWI, interference with official acts and failure to maintain control.

Dec. 10, 2023

  • David Littrel, 36, of 805 Jefferson St., Knoxville, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.
  • Miguel Torres, 34, of 523 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
  • Trinity Borland of Bettendorf was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 near T Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
