- Christopher Kurtinitis of Dallas Center was traveling in the 14000 Block of N Avenue when he hit a bale of hay that rolled out of a truck, driven by Erin Cavalier of Bouton. No injuries were reported. Damage to Kurtinitis’ vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

- Richard Webb, 44, of 1516 Hawthorne Lane, Jefferson, was arrested for OWI.

- Lakaren Humanes, 30, of 2517 Jensen Ave., Ames, was arrested on two counts of child endangerment, failure to affix drug stamp and possession of a controlled substance.
- Ulysses Pankey, 48, of 1105 16th St., Boone, was arrested on two counts of child endangerment, failure to affix drug stamp and possession of a controlled substance.
- Jennifer Hoben of Adel was traveling south on Nile Kinnick Drive when a vehicle, driven by Beverly Kimrey of Adel, pulled out of a driveway and collided with Hoben’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hoben’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000, and damage to Kimrey’s vehicle was estimated at $2.000.
Dec. 17, 2021
- Mark Haynes of Des Moines was traveling in a semi-tractor trailer southbound near Guthrie at Elm streets in De Soto when his truck clipped the back of a vehicle, driven by Brandy Underberg of Urbandale, who was stopped to make a turn. Haynes then overcorrected and lost control of the semi, striking a vehicle, driven by Amanda Rodriguez of Grimes, before the semi entered the ditch and rolled onto its side. Underberg was transported by Dallas County EMS to Mercy One Medical Center. Damage to Haynes’ vehicle was estimated at $20,000. Damage to Underberg’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to Rodriguez vehicle was estimated at $2,000.
- Shane Davis, 44, of 404 S.W. Second St., Stuart, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- William Kness, 37, of 107 E. North St., Lacona, was arrested on a warrant for criminal mischief and theft.

- Alexander Williams of Van Meter was traveling in the 27000 block 360th Street in Van Meter when he lost control of his vehicle, which entered the ditch. Williams was transported by Dallas County EMS. An investigation is ongoing.
- Tracy Hogan of Redfield was traveling in the 200 block of State Street in Dexter when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $6,000.
- David Drake, 40, of 1801 S. B Court, Indianola, was arrested for OWI.
Dec. 19, 2021
- Anna Talbott of Perry was traveling southbound in the 12000 block of U.S. Highway 169 when she lost control of her vehicle, which entered the ditch and rolled onto its side. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.
- Breeya Moritz, 20, of 2205 Court St., Granger, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- Joseph Cackler, 20, of 1600 N.W. 114th St., Clive, was arrested for a violation of the Sex Offender Registry.

- Richard Tindrell, 35, of 930 School St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
