Feb. 23, 2023
- Aubreyanna Baldwin of Earlham was traveling on El Paso Avenue near U.S. Interstate 80 when a semi-tractor trailer, driven by Ndayikengurukiy Leonard of Grimes, crossed the road from the off ramp, and Baldwin’s vehicle struck Leonard’s vehicle . No injuries were reported. Damage to Baldwin’s vehicle was estimated at $6,000, and damage to Grimes’ vehicle was estimated at $500.
Feb. 24, 2023
- Makenna Woodvine of Yale was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 near I Court when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
- Sejad Kadric, 25, of 7506 Canterbury Road, Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
- Veronica Greenslit, 50, of 309 Dodge St., Bedford, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on original charges of failure to affix a drug stamp, possession of a controlled substance and keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation.
Feb. 25, 2023
- Henry Artero, 22, of 737 S.E. 26th Court, Des Moines, was traveling in the 34000 block of Maffit Lake Road in rural Cumming when his vehicle struck a gate on private property. Damage to Artero’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to the gate was estimated at $50,000. Artero was arrested for OWI.
- Kyler Ross, 37, of 12131 50th St., Burlington, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear of an original charge of third-degree theft.
- Rigoberto Alfaro of Perry was backing out of a driveway when his vehicle struck a parked vehicle, registered to Micalela Heimerman of Perry. No injuries were reported. Damage to Alfaro’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to Heimerman’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
Feb. 26, 2023
- Melinda Aeschliman of Dallas Center was driving in the 700 block of 11st Street in Dallas Center when her vehicle struck a utility pole and retaining wall. No injuries were reported. Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $2000. Damage to the pole and retaining wall was estimated at $25.
- Heather Stone, 36, of 17588 Lake Overlook Court, Monument, Colorado, was arrested in the 33000 block of Jerry Trail in Waukee for second-degree burglary.
- Daniel Wingate, 32, of Alamosa, Colorado, was arrested in the 33000 block of Jerry Trail in Waukee for first-degree theft, two counts of second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, interference with official acts and as a fugitive from justice.
Feb. 27, 2023
- Justin Tysseling of Bagley was driving on Iowa Highway 141 near Quinlan Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,500.
