Feb. 2, 2024
- Thomas Young, 48, of unknown residence, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
- Jason Britten, 44, of 3905 E. Ovid Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
- Rubyann Fultz, 23, of 1042 21st St., West Des Moines, was arrested for driving while suspended and issued a citation for registration violation and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
Feb. 3, 2024
- Cory Lamb, 35, of 4001 E.P. True Parkway, West Des Moines, was arrested for OWI.
- Edwin Montes Mendez, 28, of 624 Third St., Perry, was arrested for driving while barred and issued a citation for speeding.
- Jamal Jarbah, 22, of 8925 Cascade Ave., West Des Moines, was arrested for fifth-degree theft.
- Samuel Lopez Vila, 60, of 3603 50th St., Des Moines, was traveling the wrong way on Iowa Highway 141 near T Avenue when he failed to stop for an emergency vehicle. A police vehicle, driven by Woodward Police Officer Graham, executed a PIT maneuver to prevent Lopez Vila from colliding head-on with oncoming traffic, and Lopez Vila’s vehicle spun out and entered the north ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to Lopez Vila’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to the Woodward Police Department vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Lopez Vila was issued a citation for failure to provide proof of financial liability.

- Heather Bassett, 49, of 1301 49th St., West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
