July 24, 2024
- Bradley Anderson of Grimes was traveling on Quinlan Avenue and Iowa Highway 44 when his vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Michiah Hidlebaugh of Dallas Center. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hidlebaugh’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and no damage was reported to Anderson’s vehicle.
July 25, 2024
- Michael Hennessy of Omaha, Nebraska, was stopped on the the exit ramp of U.S. Interstate 80 at U.S. Highway 169 when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Tyler Kirby of Des Moines. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hennessy’s vehicle was estimated at $4,000, and damage to Kirby’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Kirby was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
- Tyler Kirby, 43, of 1915 Ninth St., Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
