- Jessica Jordan of Winterset was traveling in the 35000 block of N Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000.
- Rachel Danley of Anderson, Ind., was traveling west near the 111 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when she lost control of the semi-tractor trailer on the ice-covered bridge and jackknifed into the cable barriers. No injuries were reported. Damage to the semi was estimated at $5,000, and damage to the cable barriers was estimated at $1,000.
- Russell Dispenza of Hoffman Estates, Ill., was traveling west near the 118 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 and was switching lanes due to another accident when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered bridge, causing the vehicle to slide into the north ditch. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to the barbed wire fence was estimated at $100.
- Victor Epstein of Des Moines was traveling near the 112 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control of his semi-tractor trailer on the ice-covered bridge, and the vehicle jackknifed into the north ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the semi was estimated at $1,000.
- John Schmidt of Sand Lake, Mich. was traveling near the 112 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control of his semi-tractor trailer on the ice-covered bridge, and the vehicle jackknifed, sliding into the cable barriers. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
- Victor Ferman of Palatine , Ill., was traveling west near the 118 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered bridge, and the vehicle slid into the cable barriers on the south side of the road. Keith Huneycutt of Albermarle, N.C. , also lost control at the accident scene, and his vehicle slid into the cable barriers and into Ferman’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Ferman’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Huneycutt’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
