- Benjamin McKay of Adel was traveling south on R Avenue when he slowed and attempted to turn onto the east bound on ramp of U.S. Interstate 80 and was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Jacob Davis of Van Meter. No injuries were reported. Damage to McKay’s vehicle was estimated at $4,000, and damage to Davis vehicle was estimated at $7,000. Davis was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

- Christine Bender of Swan was traveling in the 22000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000.
October 8, 2018
- Shawnda Marie Worthington, 43, of 605 Omaha St., Redfield, was arrested on a warrant for possession of marijuana.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
