Oct. 1, 2022

  • Sarah Myers of Dawson was traveling in the 18000 block of D Avenue when she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway, and her vehicle entered the ditch and rolled several times. She was transported privately to the hospital. Damage to Myers’ vehicle was estimated at $20,000.

Oct. 7, 2022

  • Dawn Brown, 51, of 406 Madison St., Scranton, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
  • Lance Battiste, 37, of 2100 E. Broad St., Mansfield, Texas, was arrested on a warrant forĀ  theft and identity theft.

Dec. 8, 2022

  • Angel Fell, 39, of 501 Clark St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on original charges of domestic abuse, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a prescription drug.
  • Jeffrey Stiles of Winterset was traveling near the intersection of 360th Lane and N Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to Stiles’ vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

Oct. 9, 2022

  • Dylan Leighter, 29, of 300 Walnut St., Des Moines, was arrested for OWI.
  • Bernadette Goodwin of Perry was traveling on the exit ramp of Iowa Highway 141 at U.S. Highway 169 when er vehicle entered a field at the exit ramp on Hwy 169. She was transported to Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS. Damage to Goodwin’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
  • Linda Bills of Jefferson was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 at Hull Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,500.
