- Payton Macke of Lake City was traveling eastbound on Iowa Highway 141 near D Avenue when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Frank Tomenga of Rippey. Tomenga was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS. Damage to Macke’s vehicle, including the livestock trailer that she was pulling, was estimated at $75,000. Damage to Tomenga’s vehicle was estimated at $30,000.

- Halle Karaidos of Van Meter was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. Highway 169 and 360th Street when a vehicle, driven by German Cruz of West Des Moines, was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 169 and swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle and entered the ditch, came back onto the roadway of 360th Street and hit Karaidos’ vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Karaidos’ vehicle was estimated at $500, and damage to Cruz’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Cruz was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license.
- Alexx Nedved of Woodward was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 near the 127 mile marker when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Rodney Scheuermann of Scranton. No injuries were reported . Damage to Nedved’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage to Scheuermann’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
