Aug. 29, 2025
- J. T. Berner, 20, of 724 E. Fourth St., Newton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
Aug. 30, 2025
- Anthony Moore of Perry was traveling in the 18000 block of 130th Street when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
- James Schuster, 45, of 3832 42nd St., Des Moines, was cited and released for OWI and issued a citation for speeding.
- Franklin Perez Mendoza, 24, of 7614 S.W. Ninth Ave., Des Moines, was arrested for OWI and driving while barred.
- Anthony Booth, 34, of 1819 Sixth St., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while barred.
Aug. 31, 2025
- James Johnson of Van Meter was traveling on 240th Street near T Avenue when his vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Morgan Schreck of Guthrie Center. No injuries were reported. Damage to Johnson’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Schreck’s vehicle was estimated at $15,000. Schreck was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
- Shawn Chipp Jr., 35, of 3623 E. 42nd St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while barred.
- Dustin Purdy, 22, of 2328 Zeller Ave., Marshalltown, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
Sept. 2, 2025
- Anne Updegraff, 54, of 29249 El Paso Ave., Redfield, was arrested for OWI and issued a citation for open container and violation of restricted license.
- Deborah Moyle, 71, of 1614 Thomas St., Redfield, was arrested on a warrant for prohibited transfer/load/rent of firearm to unauthorized person.
- Lillian Merideth of Woodward was traveling on Main Street in Woodward when her vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Roger Kaiser of Alliance. No injuries were reported. Damage to Kaiser’s vehicle was estimated at $250, and damage to Merideth’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
