- Keishla Vazquez Medina of Altoona was traveling in the 16000 block of J Avenue and turning into an driveway when a semi-tractor trailer, driven by Jerry Sparks of Bayard, struck Medina’s vehicle while trying to pass and pushed it into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to Medina’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Sparks’ vehicle was estimated at $15,000. Medina was issued a citation for no insurance and failure to give continuous turn signal. Sparks was issued a citation for unsafe passing.
- Adolfo Soto Castro, 22, of 15400 Emerald Isle Dr., Clive, was arrested for OWI, driving while barred and stopping on paved part of highway.
- Yoana Adams, 33, of 2101 Lucinda St., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
