The Dallas County Area Retired School Personnel Association (DCARSPA) presented a check this week to the sixth grade team at the Perry Middle School in memory of 11-year-old Ahmir Jolliff, who was murdered Jan. 4 in a shooting at Perry High School.
In thanking DCARSPA Treasurer Cindy Jafvert, sixth grade team member Angie Beaudet said, “To remember Ahmir’s happy, loving spirit, the sixth grade team will be purchasing outdoor equipment that all current and future sixth graders can use.”
Sue Leslie is the secretary of the Dallas County Area Retired School Personnel Association.
