
A De Soto man was arrested Friday after allegedly threatening to kill and burn an Earlham family in a property dispute.
Berton Lloyd Dodson, 66, of 911 Madison St., De Soto, was charged with four counts of first-degree harassment.
The incident began about 6:15 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Madison Street in De Soto, where Dodson was heard allegedly “threatening to shoot” an Earlham man “and his family as well as burn their property,” according to court records.
Dodson made the alleged threats in relation to “a property dispute,” according to court records.
Dodson is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 18 in Dallas County District Court.
