Eduardo Ontiveros, 30, of Des Moines was arrested Saturday on a charge of first-degree harassment.

A Des Moines man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Saturday in connection with a March incident in which he allegedly “threatened to slice” a Des Moines woman’s “throat and harm her,” according to court records.

Eduardo Ontiveros, 30, of 1003 Southdale Dr., Des Moines, was charged with first-degree harassment.

The incident occurred March 7 in the 7200 block of Lake Drive in West Des Moines, where a child’s birthday party was being celebrated. Ontiveros became angry when he “was told that his presence was unwanted” at the party, according to court records.

Ontiveros allegedly “ripped the screen from the window” of the victim’s residence and then “reached into the room and grabbed the victim by her shirt” before making the alleged threat.

A warrant for Ontiveros’ arrest was ordered March 16 in Dallas County District Court and served April 15. Ontiveros was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 25 in Dallas County District Court.
