Gregory Shaun Crane, 22, of Des Moines was arrested Thursday on charges of first-offense stalking and trespassing.

A Des Moines man was arrested Thursday night after allegedly stalking a West Des Moines man at his home and workplace.

Gregory Shaun Crane, 22, of Des Moines, was charged with first-offense stalking and trespassing.

According to court records, Crane allegedly “did follow and show up at the victim’s place of employment and residence in West Des Moines” on two occasions “with no legitimate reason to do so.”

The victim and witnesses told police that Crane allegedly “yelled ‘pedophile’ at” a pizza restaurant where the victim works in the 6600 block of Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines and similarly yelled outside the victim’s West Des Moines apartment house, according to court records.

The victim told officers of the Clive Police Department that he “is in fear” of Crane, who “has caused the victim to be hospitalized for stress and anxiety attacks.”

Crane was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to being released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 8 in Dallas County District Court.
