A Des Moines woman was arrested Friday after allegedly striking a Waukee woman in the face in the course of a dispute.
Lovetee Keiat Taley, 29, of 1648 Hull Ave., Des Moines, was charged with assault.
The incident began about 1:30 p.m. Friday at a residence in the 1100 block of S.E. Olson Drive in Waukee, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Taley allegedly “punched” the victim “in the face,” according to court records.
A witness confirmed the victim’s account, according to court records.
Taley was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a pretrial conference May 13 in Dallas County District Court.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
