Silvia Herrera of Perry, the sister-in-law of Javier Hernandez and daughter-in-law of Amelia Huaracha de Hernandez, who were killed Monday in a motor vehicle crash in rural Perry, has started a GoFundMe campaign for the family in the wake of their profound loss.
The GoFundMe campaign, called “Support Javier’s Family After His Tragic Loss,” is explained by Herrera:
In Loving Memory of My Brother-in-Law, Javier Hernandez
On Dec. 23, my brother-in-law Javier was tragically taken from us. Javier was not only an incredible husband and father but also a beloved brother and friend. His passing has left a profound and irreplaceable void in all our lives.
Javier was a man devoted to his family and his community. He was a 2004 Perry graduate, the proud owner of Javier’s Construction and a volunteer firefighter who was always willing to help those in need. He also believed deeply in the power of education, and through the Javier’s Construction Scholarship, he helped many PHS students achieve their dreams.
But above all, Javier was a loving husband to his wife and a devoted father to his three daughters, ages 16, 11 and 9. They were his world, and he worked tirelessly to provide them with the best future possible. Now his wife and daughters face an unimaginable loss and need our support.
I’m starting this campaign to raise funds to help his family during this incredibly difficult time. The funds will go toward immediate needs, funeral expenses, supporting his daughters’ futures and ensuring they have the opportunities Javier always dreamed of for them.
Javier was a light in the lives of everyone who knew him. His generosity, kindness and love for his family will always be remembered. Now it’s our turn to give back some of that kindness by helping the family he loved so much.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign so others can help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for joining us in honoring Javier’s memory and supporting his wife and daughters.
Together, we can help his family feel supported and carry on the legacy of love and generosity that Javier left in all our lives.
The GoFundMe campaign aims to raise $7,500.
