Enjoy tacos while learning about scholarships when the DMACC Perry VanKirk Center hosts the fifth annual Tacopalooza and Financial Aid Night on Wednesday, May 3 from 4-7 p.m. in the parking lot of the VanKirk Center.
Taco vendors will be selling tacos for $1 each at the Tacopalooza. Students, staff and teachers are encouraged to purchase tacos and vote for their favorite taco vendor.
“Hundreds of hungry students, staff and community members have attended this event in the past, enjoying delicious tacos from area taco vendors,” said DMACC Perry VanKirk Center Director Eddie Diaz. “I for one am looking forward to celebrating a successful spring semester with great food at a great event.”
DMACC representatives from the Perry VanKirk Career Academy will present information on financial aid during the Tacopalooza as well as details about DMACC Foundation Scholarships, FAFSA, Last Dollar Scholarships and registration at the Financial Aid Night.
DMACC academic advisors will also be on hand to answer questions about financing college education and enrolling in classes.
“DMACC registration, orientation, application and transcript assistance will be individually provided at the Financial Aid Night,” said Diaz, who said potential students should bring their laptops to the event.
Space is limited for the Financial Aid Night, Diaz said, so attendees are encouraged to sign up for the event by contacting DMACC Advisor Connie Saenz at caoliversaenz@dmacc.edu or DMACC Advisor Tom Lipovac at tflipovac@dmacc.edu.
