A dump truck fell onto its driver’s side Monday afternoon in Adel, trapping the driver and bringing a rapid response from emergency personnel.
The incident occurred about 12:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Nile Kinnick Drive S. in Adel, near Baileys Grove Drive on the town’s south side.
The vehicle came to rest in the east ditch, and the driver was mechanically extracted from the overturned truck and transported with injuries by the Dallas County EMS.
The one-vehicle accident is under investigation at this hour.
